Kids Worship Too!

With all the talk of Sunday School and fun kids’ events, it sometimes seems that worship can take a back seat.  At Portage Chapel Hill we are dedicated to making sure that every child, every family, every person can find ways to worship our amazing, incredible, loving God!

The Gathering (9:00 AM)
This blended worship service includes traditional hymns and new favorites.  Children enter worship with their families and participate in the first hymn and opening liturgy before their special “Children’s Time” up front.  After Children’s Time kids ages 3-3rd grade are invited out to a special worship experience that weaves story, play, and praise together.    They will rejoin their families in the sanctuary for the last hymn or for communion when it is served.  Fourth grade and up are invited to stay and worship with their families.  Nursery care is provided for those under age 3.

New Life (11:30AM)
This contemporary worship experience is great for children who love to sing and dance along with the drums and guitars.  An informal mood and fast paced feel keep kids of all ages engaged as they worship alongside their families.  Nursery care is provided for those under age 5. After Children’s Time kids ages 3-3rd grade are invited out to a special worship experience that weaves story, play, and praise together.
Music
Kids love music and the church loves it when kids share their gift of song.  Through singing, ringing, or dancing, there are lots of ways for kids to worship through music.
