It takes a village to raise a disciple, and in our village every disciple helps run the village! Take a look below at great ways kids can be in service at Chapel Hill:
Acolyte (second semester 3rd graders and older)
Acolytes “light the way” each week at the 9 a.m. service. It is an opportunity to not only be a part of worship, but to strengthen your relationship with God and the church by bringing in Christ’s light to light the worship candles and assist with worship.
Time Commitment: 8:55-10:05, generally once every 6-8 weeks.

Faith Village Welcome Team (1st-6th graders)
Welcome Team is an opportunity for kids to help visitors to the village feel right at home. Each Sunday 2 “villagers” help staff the Children’s Ministry Welcome Station. Their role includes helping with sign in and registration, as well as helping visitors and newer members of the village find their way to Opening Time.
Time Commitment: 10:00-10:15am Sundays, sign up as often as you want to serve
Training Required
Faith Village Singers (Kindergarten-4th Grade)
All Faith Village kids will learn words and movements to songs that complement our current Sunday School unit as part of our opening time together each week. The Faith Village Singers is an optional opportunity for those kids who wish to share the gift of music to perform these songs they have learned during worship.
Time Commitment: 10:05-10:15 Attendance at Faith Village to learn songs.
Performance Dates: Nov. 7 (11:30), Dec. 12 (9 a.m.) , Feb. 6 (11:30), Apr. 17 (9 a.m.)

Faith Village K.I.S.S. Team (Kindergarten-6th Graders)
Help transform our opening space to set the stage for each new learning unit in Faith Village. From Abraham’s tent to a Jerusalem Street to inside the stable at Bethlehem, the Kids In Sacred Space team is in charge of taking down the old and creating the new settings for each new unit.
Time Commitment: Once per unit, generally every 5 weeks throughout the school year

Faith Village Groundskeepers
Each week several little things need to be put away and tidied up at the end of Faith Village. A team of two kids each week can take on this checklist and help keep our village looking great!
Time Commitment: 11:20-11:30am Sundays, sign up as often as you would like to serve

Junior Liturgist (4th,5th & 6th Graders)
Kids who would like to participate in worship at the 11:30 service are invited to share the Word by reading the daily Scripture and assisting with leading worship.
Time Commitment: 11:20-12:30pm Sundays, sign up as often as you would like to serve
