Strategic Plan

The Vision:

PCHUM will be:
- A home where every person belongs to God and so to one another
- A transforming community of faith where each discovers and responds to God’s call

Goal #1 – Increase engagement of PCHUM disciples  (Outfitters Team)

Objective #1 – 10 new small groups per year

Objective #2 – Increase worship attendance by 2% per year

Objective #3 – Increase New Member class participation 10% per year

Objective #4 – Increase number of participants in book studies by 10%

Objective #5 – Increase Youth Formation Opportunities

Objective $6 – Increase Children’s Formation Opportunities

Goal #2 – Increase the involvement in community by official PCHUM connection with at least one new local mission per year.  (Beyond the Trail Team)

Strategy #1 – Evaluate Community Need to discern appropriate connections.

Strategy #2 – Prioritize based on discernment and resources

Strategy #3 – Make needs known and match needs with congregational passions
Goal #3 – Fully and faithfully utilize PCHUM resources to support the congregational vision. (Pathbuilders Team)

Objective #1 – The infrastructure will facilitate full participation in PCHUM ministries.

Objective #2 – Complete projects of Capital Vision by <<DATE TBA>>
Objective #3 – Ministries of PCHUM shall reflect core values by becoming increasingly eco-friendly

Objective #4 – Increase on-line and/or ACH giving transactions by 50% within two years.

Objective #5 – Certify that Kitchen and Fellowship Hall are prepared for local food preparation ministries.

 

Goal #4 – Increase volunteer ministry opportunities at all levels of church life and support the same with appropriate development and training.

Objective #1 – Utilize LS&D and staff to identify and train volunteers in ministry.

Objective #2 – Evaluate and Celebrate the work of volunteers in ministry

Objective #3 – Utilize 4-step volunteer multiplication program

(c)  You do it, I watch.
(d) You do it, I move on to another ministry.
Goal #5 – Respond to emerging community needs by partnering with other congregations, organizations, and educational institutions.  (Church Council, Beyond the Trail)

Objective #1 – Host Public Forums on topics of vital community interest.

Objective #2 – Create Inter-Church Activities.

Goal #6 – Create ministries with the unique needs of all PCHUM participants in mind.  (Outfitters Team and Staff)

Objective #1 – Respond to calls for educational opportunities for “non-traditional” families and individuals.

Objective #2 – Create a “Shepherding Group”  model appropriate for PCHUM
